To find the studio in Feilding, the studio is next to the Sushi shop, in a narrow door and up the stairs.

 

Please wear shoes you can do turns in THAT ARE ONLY WORN FOR DANCING and comfortable clothes, keeping in mind we get warm fast! Bring water and if you have a medical condition we ought to know about, please tell us, Linda has a current First Aid certificate.

 

Due to bad publicity involving a dance instructor and a young person, I feel that this reflects on all of us involved with Latin dance, and it may be a good idea for all separate dance studios to formulate a youth policy (under 18) if they don't already have one. As I am a youth leader in St John Ambulance program, I loosely base mine on their policy.
I don't often get young learners, but the rules are:

1. Under 18s may not be alone in a room with anyone over 18 except their parent or designated caregiver.
2. Over 18s may not be without another adult present in a room that contains someone under 18 unless it is their own child or ward.

Personally, I allow under 18s to come dancing only if their parent or caregiver also dances, and I don't charge for the young person.

This protects the young person as well as the adult.
